I am a contemporary abstract artist based in West Yorkshire, UK. Art has been my life passion and I am a graduate from the University of Huddersfield with a BA (honours) degree in Fine Art in 2006. Since graduating I have continued my practice as an artist working from my studio in Batley, West Yorkshire.

My roots lie in Asia and my cultural background has a huge impact in my paintings. The vibrancy, the colours, the festive atmosphere and the rich heritage of India and Pakistan influence my approach to my paintings.

Within my work colour is an important factor, through the use of colour my aim is to express feelings and emotions. I believe that colour is subjectively powerful enough to describe and represent human emotions, forming the ability to visually communicate.
